Electrician

Role: CK40013/21

We have a new opportunity for an Electrician/Approved Electrician to join ck4 limited. You’ll have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, and be looking to take the next step in your career. You’ll have either a commercial or industrial background, pay great attention to the quality of your work, and have a keen eye for detail. Ideally you will also hold 2391 or equivalent.

Position summary
  • Full time: Monday – Friday
  • Hours: 08:00 – 16:30, plus occasional overtime
  • Salary: £16.50 – £18.50 per hour dependent on experience
  • 20 days holiday per year (plus statutory 8 days)

Main responsibilities
  • Carry out Electrical remedial repairs, maintenance and refurbishment works
  • Complete all Electrical installations and refurbishments in line with current regulations and legislation
  • Conduct diagnostic work and fault-finding on electrical installations
  • Process all necessary supporting documentation and system entries
  • Inspect and test new and existing installations, record results, and complete relevant certification
  • Complete maintenance work
  • Install and maintain emergency lighting
  • Ensure Health & Safety policies are procedures are correctly implemented and complied with
  • Attend all necessary training to continue your professional development, and ensure compliance with Electrical industry changes
  • Use electronic and paper-based systems to accurately record Electrical documentation, including labour and materials used on all jobs
  • Mentor apprentices as required

Finance Manager

Role: CK40014/21

We have a new opportunity for a Finance Manager to join ck4 limited. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will perform a variety of duties to support the company in creating efficiency and effectiveness for our clients. You’ll have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, ideally within the building services industry, and be looking to take the next step in your career. You’ll pay great attention to the quality of your work, be a team player, and have a keen eye for detail.

Main responsibilities
  • Preparation and production of monthly Management Accounts for the Directors
  • Preparation of weekly cashflow forecast
  • Involvement in setting the company strategy and driving the business forward
  • Processing of weekly and monthly supplier payments
  • Daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Full Balance Sheet reconciliations of all accounts on a monthly basis
  • Management of company bank accounts
  • Processing of expenses on company credit cards
  • Monthly PAYE and CIS payments to HMRC
  • Monthly CIS filing to HMRC and statements to sub-contractors
  • Submission of quarterly VAT returns and payments
  • Main point of contact with external accountants for all company finance matters
  • Preparation of year end file for external accountants
  • Administration of Peninsula HR system for employee related matters
  • Processing of weekly and monthly payroll to gross pay level and processing payments to employees. Liaising with our external payroll company effectively
  • Involvement in new employee inductions for Finance and HR aspects.

  • Involvement in ad-hoc projects including new policies and procedures
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing processes
  • Oversee Prism implementation ensuring company needs are being met
  • Password control and management for all company equipment

With the ongoing growth of the company, ck4 limited has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, conscientious individual to join their established commercial plumbing & heating installation and facilities team.

You’ll have a minimum of two years’ commercial and industrial plumbing and domestic gas experience, relevant qualifications for your trade and possess the ability to work under your own motivation as well as part of a team. Ongoing training is provided to all.
